For 31 years, Leo was the familiar owner behind Tamborine Mountain Bakery, and although he has now retired, the bakery’s friendly community spirit continues with Alex and Hugh. We visited Tamborine Mountain Bakery and it was one of the best bakeries we have tried. We ordered the steak & mushroom pie, steak & cheese pie, a sausage roll and a cannelloni. All items were outstanding. A truly great way to finish off our bushwalk.
Got the call for a gluten free cake as last minute - ran to my local bakery and the baker came out personally and was able to offer me a wonderful orange almond cake decorated just to give him 10mins to get it ready. Popped over to spice for life for a coffee takeaway and by the time I was done there the cake was ready. Thank you again for making my day and presenting such a wonderful cake. Great local bakery
What a great find this was. One of the best bakeries we’ve experienced. Pies were great and the GF carrot cake was the best we’ve ever eaten. Massive piece too. The attached pic was of the carrot cake 3/4 finished! Prices are excellent for the quality of food.
best strawberry tarts!!!! Pastry is divine as is the custard and thin layer of chocolate. Love them!
Visited this bakery a few weeks ago and noticed the carrot cake displayed in the fridge. We have always been reluctant to buy as others we’ve bought have not been great and always end up in the bins. The baker told us that his carrot cakes were the best. We decided to try it and some Apple danish. Wow this is now our “Go 2” bakery. Today we drove back up the mountain again to purchase a carrot cake only to find they had nothing displayed in the fridge. We told them we only came up the mountain for his amazing carrot cake. They went over and beyond and put one together for us. This is by far the BEST CARROT CAKES on the entire GC , you need to try them and we will most definitely be back again and again and your danish pastries are also divine we must say. Friendly and amazing staff as well. Keep up the good work.
Visited today on a Facebook recommendation for the vanilla slice, and wow it did not disappoint. They are truly amazing, do yourself a favour and grab a coffee from one of the many coffee shops near by and treat yourself 😋 I can't wait to visit again and try some of their other bakery goods.
Yummy fresh sandwiches & tasty pastries. Best pies son has had so far since moving to Brisbane
Outstanding feed. Pies, sausage rolls and cakes were delicious. No seating options inside however plenty of bench and park seats across the road which were perfect for us!
Exceptionally good apple and rhubarb pie. Big chunks of fruit and plenty of it. Really enjoyed would thoroughly recommend
Great little bakery! I love their pies and range. Everything I’ve tried so far has not disappointed. Staff do a good job too. Pricey but in most cases worth it!
